Setting Goals

This blog exits mostly for me. If I do allow anyone to look at it, they will have been well vetted, and I doubt the list will be long. This is for me to look at before, during and after I have my surgery and I hope it serves as a constant reminder, gut-checker and source of motivation for me. The first thing that I feel I have to do is to seperate this attempt at changing myself from all the ones that have come before. As this will be TOTALLY for me and no one else (first time I've said that and actually meant it), I am going to set down some goals. Each goal will be followed by a letter: A stands for 'achievable', meaning I expect to accomplish this goal after having the surgery. H stands for 'hopeful', meaning I REALLY hope I get to this goal, but it's tough to even imagine myself getting there. I stands for 'improbable'. These are the goals that seem like utter fantasy for me at this point, but I am more than willing to suspend reality if I do meet them! Here's hoping I meet them and exceed them!

1. Weigh less than 200 lbs A

2. Wear those fantastic Gap jeans I've been keeping in my closet and refuse to throw away A

3. Wear a size 12 A

4. Wear a size 10 H

5. Wear a size 8 I

6. Become a runner A

7. Run (meaning actual running, the entire time) a 10k H

8. Complete a triathalon I

9. Wear sleeveless clothes in public without anxiety A

10. Wear a bathing suit in public without anxiety A

11. Wear a bikini H/I

12. MORE ENERGY

13. Shop in misses departments or non-plus sized stores

14. Cute underwear

15. Be able to wear heels to work without feeling crippled when I take them off

16. Be able to buy bracelets that aren't made out of elastic

more to come....
